As the Software Engineering Manager you will be responsible for technical and people management and is actively engaged in delivering solutions for the business. As a technical manager, you will set expectations for delivering a quality product and timely solutions; you are an avid promoter of process improvement; you seek out and promote best practices; you own and refine the technical architecture, continually investing in refactoring and refinement to incorporate modern engineering tools and practices. This is a hybrid role from our Stow, OH office.
\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:
\n\nLead your team to build the next generation of modern applications, platforms and services by providing technical expertise throughout the software development lifecycle \nManage the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance \nCommunicate a plan for the budget, resources, and tools required to support the business and evolve the product, then execute the plan \nEstablish relevant learning plans that grow the team professionally and technically \nMotivate the team to share ideas and learnings to promote innovation and generate excitement within the team \nTake an active role in defining metrics that measure our ability to deliver on business and service level objectives; use the metrics to improve the process and product \nReview test plans and results providing guidance with the development of test plans to assist the business with development of user acceptance criteria \nDevelop relationships with business partners and regularly update them with what is transpiring related to automation \nPerform other duties as assigned \nConform with all company policies and procedures \nCollaborate with product owner and Stakeholders to define solution, technical requirements, and timelines. \nEnsure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices. \nConduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the development team. \nIdentify and address technical debt, ensuring long-term sustainability of the codebase. \nStay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating new solutions as appropriate. \nWHO YOU ARE (Qualifications):\n\nGreater than 7 years of experience in software development required\n5-7 years of experience leading software development projects preferred\n.net C# required \nAzure experience required\nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.\nExperience with Azure cloud platforms and microservices architecture. \nStrong hands on coding experience (.net C# and javascript preferred, Java, Angular) \nExperience in developing customer facing applications \nExperience in software development consisting of architecture and implementing through code \nLead through influence, inspiration, collaboration and teamwork \nPresent team strategies and accomplishments to senior executives and peers \nEstablish strong working relationships and build trust with peers and business partners \nChampion and execute strategies that deliver measurable business value \nListen actively and communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing \nApply creative thinking and negotiations skills to develop solutions that are acceptable to different needs \nAbility to accept change and to adapt to shifting organizational challenges and priorities \nAbility to coach, develop and lead others \nAbility to manage multiple tasks at one time while remaining cool under pressure \nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus \nStrong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. \nProven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. \n\n\n
