Join us! Our Payments engineering team is expanding to revolutionize how payments work at scale. We seek a highly motivated engineering manager to help us build and scale a next-generation payments infrastructure capable of handling billions of dollars in transactions, empowering millions of people to create meaningful change in the world.

In this role, you’ll hire and grow a team to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that ensure secure, efficient, and seamless payments on a global scale. This is a hybrid position; candidates considered for this role will be located in San Francisco.

The Job…

You will attract, hire, and retain a high-performing engineering team based in the U.S. and Buenos Aires. You'll refine and execute our multi-year payments strategy to grow giving through innovative use cases, and bring more of our core payments capabilities in-house. You’ll partner with engineering, product, designers, and external partners to design and implement the next-generation payments infrastructure for GoFundMe.

You… 

You have 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, leading small to mid-sized teams. 5+ years of relevant experience in some or many of the following areas: Checkout/Payment methods, Payouts, Ledgering, Reconciliation, Interchange, KYC/Onboarding. You have deep expertise in payment systems with a track record of shipping impactful features. You have strong expertise in systems architecture to lead and guide teams in designing scalable, high-performance systems. You are skilled at leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery by balancing technical trade-offs and business needs, communicating progress and challenges to stakeholders, and ensuring teams stay aligned with project goals.

Preferred… 

Experience with Spring Boot, Kotlin, AWS, Kafka, and Kubernetes.

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $210,000 - $280,000 + equity + benefits.  As this is a hybrid position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
