Your Impact

The Engineering Manager is responsible for end-to-end software development, maintenance of released products, ownership for the products / features owned by his/her teams. He / she is expected to help evolve and define the product features working with various product stake holders, in the area of enterprise software development and is abreast with related technologies. He / she is responsible for managing and coordinating resources and processes to make quality & timely deliveries. He/She will be responsible for product patches, hot fix releases, customer interaction and timely delivery.

 

What the Role Offers:

 

Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing new products, enhancements and updates and coordinating projects for end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet-based platformsTechnically hands-on, guide the team on technical and functional aspects of the project.    Actively involves in the technical discussions in the teams and adds value to the discussion with his / her experience.Works with internal customers like product management & other engineering functions to cater to the product requirements and delivery.Helps the teams to prepare the detailed work plan for the given release cycle, guides the team on estimation, planning and execution of the release content.Responsible for developing and releasing the defined work content as per the committed plan with the expected quality. Works with the stakeholders to resolve the dependencies & impediments and makes the necessary course corrections to keep the team on track on their commitments.Influences the engineers to conform to the defined engineering practices & standards through active involvement and hands-on tracking. Measures the quality of the deliverable using the defined quality metrics and addresses the issues that impact the quality of the deliverable from the engineers.Helps team members to set their objectives and prepare their competency improvement plan. Guides the team members by providing the appropriate opportunities to achieve their objectives and improve competencies to help them grow in their career.Closely observes the performance of the engineers on both the deliverable and competencies. Provides the appropriate feedback (both the appreciations & focus areas) in a timely manner as part of the performance appraisal process.


 

What you need to succeed:

 

People manager or leadership experience – already leading a team, or a technical lead or scrum master role.Must have hands-on experience in developing enterprise grade UI software with considerations of scale, security and manageability.Working knowledge in full-stack UI technology like HTML5, CSS, React, Node.js and proficient in UX design.Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, Webpack, Cypress, SeleniumCustomer oriented approach – ability to work with customer and solve their issues. Ability to demo products and lead a discussion with customersStrong communication skills to oversee personnel and foster collaboration with other organizational departments. Good written and communication skills in English.Outstanding technological orientation - ability to learn, analyze and troubleshoot various technologies.Must enjoy working in an agile development environment, where the measure of success is the swift and frequent delivery of useful software.
