Overview Of Position

The Manager, Software Engineering - Supply Chain Technology will provide subject matter expertise and leadership in technological domain to various projects for Warehouse business. Lead the design for WMS and business process automation and leads the Fulfillment workflow. Improves business processes and technology efficiencies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems. Leads multiple projects and initiatives in technology domain across the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Director - Enterprise Technology, the Manager, Software Engineering - Supply Chain Technology will have several roles to fulfill. Lead the design for system architecture, defines standards and policies, and the implementation, upgrade and delivery of Supply Chain systems. Improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems. Leads multiple projects and initiatives in technology domain across the organization. This individual will be execution focused with emphasis on quality, systems integration, systems architecture, supply chain technology expertise, and ability to work collaboratively with other teams. 

 

Job Responsibilities

Ensuring High Availability of Fulfillment Systems. Under leadership of Director, lead requirements, design, build, test, deploy, maintenance, and 24x7 support for Supply chain Systems (e.g. WMS, WCS, Parcel Shipping system and integration with other Enterprise systems) Lead planning and implementation of all system upgrades and changes. Ensure seamless system performance of day-to-day operations activities on organizational Cloud systems Lead the technological domain for various integrated projects in the Supply Chain organization and provide technical advisory on design and strategy on application software solutions, including data management, performance management, and integration platforms. Drive Root Cause Analysis and fixes Maintain close coordination with system/domain owners, work with relevant leads to balance workload across resources, technology, and application. Validate prioritization and categorization of projects, changes, and enhancements with the business. Perform impact assessments for various integrated systems across the organization, provide technical advisory and expertise to ensure the organizations Supply Chain systems are sized appropriately to satisfy business growth needs.  People leadership. Oversight of work product delivered by team. Assist in building a COE and identify automation opportunities within Supply Chain business processes.

 

Scope

This individual will be execution focused with emphasis on quality, systems integration, systems architecture, supply chain technology expertise, and ability to work collaboratively with other teams.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering/Technology required. Master's degree will be a plus. Sound understanding of Supply Chain and Fulfillment processes in Ecommerce/Consumer Goods environments  10+ years of experience in Technology. 10+ years leading Supply Chain Technology team in complex D2C environments. 7+ yrs experience implementing and integrating best-of-breed Warehouse Management Systems like Manhattan Associates, Highjump/Korber, JDA/Red Prairie. Experience with SaaS solutions will be a big plus. 2+ yrs experience with Warehouse Automation (WCS) will be a plus. Hands-on experience in programming languages and frameworks like Go, Java,Python, Stored Procs, XML/JSON. Cloud (AWS/GCP) experience will be a big plus. 10+ years of experience working with RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL. Solid knowledge of distributed computing, micro-services architecture, and API design/development.  Knowledge of Monitoring/Alerting tools. Good Understanding of performance aspects in Application Design and Delivery Experience with Agile/Kanban/Scrum methodologies Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong Interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels inside/outside the organization. Ability to prioritize and drive completion of key initiatives on-time and with high quality Ability to be on-call 24/7 as a leader for any critical or high priority incidents impacting our business operations.
