Summary: We are looking for an entrepreneurial Romantasy lover to help us grow our business in this exciting and rapidly growing part of the book business. This role will interface across three areas of the company (1) Growth, (2) Member Experience, and (3) Editorial to launch an exciting new offering in the Romantasy space.   This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for discovering and championing Romantasy books, a very commercial mind-set, and the ability to manage a process effectively.  About you: + 5+ years of experience in an editorial, content development, fandom, agency, or other entertainment industry-related role. Other experiences will also be considered for candidates who demonstrate the other requirements.  + You have exceptional taste in Romantasy, know what makes a book great, and you can communicate this effectively. + Expert-level familiarity within the Romantasy landscape, including authors, title, publishers, agents, screenwriters, or other entertainment industry players.     + Deep familiarity with the Romantasy consumer and community, including relevant trends, personalities, competitive products, and other relevant aspects of the space.  + Demonstrated experience operating in an organized manner within a demanding and high-functioning process. + Ability to create organized and well-formatted decks, memos, and other work products and present to stakeholders. + You are a strong match for the company workstyles identified on our careers page. + You are familiar with what it takes to build something from scratch in a resource constrained environment and you are ready for the challenge.   What you’ll do… This job requires a blend of exquisite taste in Romantasy, industry relations, and commercial instinct. Book Selections Processes + Assign titles to full-time and freelance readers, review and synthesize feedback, present recommendations, and deliver on deadlines. + Manage a well-organized database and operational process for selecting Romantasy books.  + Build and maintain a group of readers to help evaluate potential titles.  + Read titles to finalize the selections.  Growth + Work with the creative team to conceptualize and create Meta, TikTok, and Youtube ads that target the Romantasy audience. + Stay up to date on trends in the Romantasy community and think of ways to participate in them.  Member Experience and Operations + Work very cross-functionally to manage a variety of processes across the business required to deliver a great experience to our members. + Gather feedback from members to develop a well-organized list of ideas for feature development.      Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,00 Powered by JazzHR
