Stock Plan Services is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager who has a deep understanding of share-based payment concepts.
The Senior Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for providing support services to corporate clients on the application of equity compensation accounting concepts in the Schwab EquiView system. This position requires subject matter expertise in both ASC 718 and IFRS 2 and the ability to deliver training on advanced accounting topics both internally and externally. This position will be responsible for identifying system enhancements and development opportunities based on client needs and regulatory changes. Additionally, this position will create and maintain whitepapers and all other accounting documentation. Responsibilities Include:
Provide proactive financial reporting support to corporate clients and make recommendations when appropriate to address reporting challengesLead discovery and consultation conversations with corporate clients to determine their needs.Subject matter expert in domestic and international share-based payment conceptsUnderstand overall stock plan record-keeping system architecture and functionality Understand the Schwab EquiView financial reporting system from settings configuration to expense and disclosure reporting calculations Monitor regulatory changes, drive thought leadership efforts and provide sales supportIdentify development opportunities, gather business requirements, and work with Product Management to implement new financial reporting featuresWhat you have5-8 years work experience in the equity compensation industry with minimum 4 years experience working with ASC 718/IFRS2.Ability to balance the needs of our clients and implement SPS best practicesStrong communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships with both our clients and internal partnersMust be self-directed and self-motivated-- able to work independently on a variety of tasks while achieving team-oriented objectives and collaborating with stakeholders where appropriate Must be well organized and able to effectively manage own time Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize competing deadlinesHigh attention to detail and the ability to see things through from concept to implementationStrong business analysis and problem solving skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and ability to troubleshoot issuesEffectively work in a collaborative team environment and provide the best possible outcomes for our clientsDemonstrate excellent critical analysis with a very high attention to detail to improve existing processes and innovate solutions Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain data and analysis in a compelling manner to all levels of leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Office application such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field CEP (preferred)
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
