Manager, Strategic Sourcing Commodity

Responsibilities

Leverage companywide spend in all steel and resin related spend categories by performing strategic negotiations with suppliers Track, report and negotiate against related commodity indexes End to End accountability and interface for defining and executing category and supplier strategy with stakeholders and cross functional team to meet performance and procurement deliverables Deliver category annual Total Cost of Ownership reductions per the procurement annual plan Act as lead negotiator for all major commodity business performance-based contracts that reward or penalize the ability to achieve Wastequip’s business needs Manage risk and minimize financial risk by establishing supplier business continuity plans Provide monthly forecast to key suppliers to assist with product availability Partner with Wastequip divisions and business units to protect their interests and minimize their risks Maintain appropriate inventory levels by working with supplier, buyers and plant locations Reduce lead times for related products to minimize changes in commodity pricing Negotiate long term agreements with best price, payment terms, quality levels, and delivery terms for purchased commodity based products in compliance with corporate objectives

Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years strategic sourcing experience in Steel commodities, and Polyethylene Resin commodities Project Management and/or Operations experience preferred Sourcing of materials, products, and components. Experience with products/components, and subcomponents for the waste equipment (or similar industry) is preferred Demonstrated experience successful “Make Vs Buy” analysis resulting in cost savings Experience in identifying and prequalifying new suppliers Knowledge of tariffs, duties, and import / export regulations to assure compliance and minimize costs Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Experience operating successfully with metrics and a high degree of organizational agility
