What you’ll do:

The Manager of Strategy & Special Projects is a key part of Lifepoint’s Enterprise Strategy team. This role will help develop the enterprise and site level strategic plans, manage the execution of strategic initiatives, and deliver on other strategic projects for the enterprise. This position requires a combination of consulting experience, problem solving and critical thinking skills, analytics, financial modelling, and solid business acumen. The ideal candidate will have prior consulting experience at a top tier firm, such as a consultant or associate, and a proven track record in strategy development and program/project management. This position will report into the Associate Vice President of Strategy & Special Projects and will be responsible for supporting the AVP of Strategy & Special Projects with driving and executing on the enterprise strategic plan and core initiatives.

The Manager of Strategy & Special Projects will play a critical role in managing complex projects and contributing to the overall success of the enterprise. This position offers an opportunity to leverage consulting experience, executive communication and stakeholder management, and strategic acumen to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Strategy & Special Projects team to engage with senior business leaders to help shape the strategy and vision for the enterprise Support cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems, including diagnosing issues through interviews and analytics, formulating solution sets and recommendations, and developing a roadmap for implementation and supporting execution.Establish plans to communicate program goals, deliverables, status, and issues to leadership and implementation teams through the engagement process. Identify key project risks and work with implementation teams and program leadership to appropriately disposition those risks. Develop thoughtful and insightful financial and business analysis to develop key strategic recommendations.Collaborate with senior business leaders and program leadership to develop standard reporting metrics and measurements for the ongoing management of each program.Develop and build financial models for business case recommendations.Ability to expertly navigate complex senior-level relationship environments and build support amongst a cross-functional stakeholder group to drive outcomes and resolve conflicts.   Appropriate business acumen and understanding of key financial metrics. Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters. Gather data and information, perform analysis, develop recommendation and present findings, especially related to business case development, program impact evaluation, and ROI analysis.Lead and manage meetings, develop support materials, capture take-aways, and deliver on action items in support of team projects.Identify and organize tasks within defined projects, create tracking tools, and manage projects from beginning to end including stakeholder engagement, follow-up, and project reporting.

What you’ll need:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.  

Experience:

1-3years of consulting experience managing fast-paced, complex projects/programs is required, preferably from a top-tier consulting firm within enterprise strategy, operations strategy, investment banking, finance, data analytics, or equivalent roles.Experience in the healthcare industry strongly desired.

Preferred Skills:

Capability and experience with technical and data analytics skills, including databases, performing coded queries, and creating dashboards.Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, PowerBI, Excel and others. Experience with financial analysis and accounting management.Ability to derive operational and financial insights from finance acumen and experience.
