What is the opportunity?
The Manager, Structured Product Business Support will be responsible for the transaction management of over-the counter equity derivatives and ensuring proper trade booking of new and pre-existing trades. The incumbent will need to learn/understand structured product payoffs and will be directly engaging with Sales and Trading on a daily basis. They will liaise with Front Office, Market Risk, Valuations, P&L, IT, Operations and other teams in the firm to resolve breaks and inform them about new/amended trades. They will engage with stakeholders to develop booking templates that define all the key transaction attributes and recommend improved workflow between departments to increase efficiencies and controls. The manager will also monitor the trends in volume and type of trade activity to ensure that risk systems and processes are fit for scale.
What will you do?
Ensure all transactions are booked properly in the trading systemsEnsure trades are updated to properly reflect events (expiries, call dates, resets, barriers, etc); as well as properly reflect corporate actions (dividends, stock splits, mergers, etc)Ensure all amendments are properly reflected in the trading systemsEnsure all controls reports are updated and enhance control criteria as neededValidate that confirmations and/or offering memorandums are defined consistent with the system bookingDocument multi-leg and/or multi-systems bookings and valuation environments for trade structures and ensure they are accurate and complete for P&L and risk purposesDocument all ‘non-traditional’ and / or ‘experimental’ transactionsWork with IT to automate transaction workflow and create robust trade booking and trade activity monitoring toolsWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
BA / BS or equivalent with emphasis in finance, economics or other quantitative disciplineWorking knowledge of equity derivatives and structured equity products (eg. Reverse convertibles, autocallables, barrier options, etc)High attention to detail and control-focusedAbility to work under pressure, accept responsibility and deliverJob Skills
