What You Will Do

Drafts, generates, negotiates, interprets, and manages complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, procurement and cost control guidelines.Excellent organizational skills.Reviews contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as assessing the risk and impact. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policies, government and commercial specifications and other requirements.Prepares negotiation plans and contract reviews on a regular basis.Uses legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed through development of unique contract terms and conditions.Briefs team leader and other functional areas on contract status, risk mitigation and contingency plans based on developed recommendations.Identifies opportunities to streamline workflow and improve quality of work product.Track and report key functional metrics to improve effectiveness.Represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.Provides legal advice on contractual matters and contract administration.Maintains historical legal records.

What You Will Learn

Qualifications You Must Have

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

Qualifications We Prefer

Prior commercial contracting experience.Prior aerospace contracting experience.Juris DoctorateSupply Chain experience is a plus

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
