Manager, Team Manager - R&A (Tech Market Research)

About this Role:

As a Team Manager in TSP Tech Market Research, you will manage and coach a team of researchers who own and contribute to the creation of Gartner’s flagship reports, Market Share and Forecast publications in addition to other reports that provide competitive and market insights on technology vendors and markets. The job requires excellent leadership and execution skills and you will be required to work collaboratively with other practices of Gartner Research and Advisory.

          What you’ll do: 

Lead a team of researchers who are responsible for creation of client facing research notes on revenue and growth estimate of technology vendors and markets, competitive positioning of tech vendors and revenue market share analysis.Review team deliverables to ensure the accuracy and quality of all reports and analyses. Active contribution to quality assurance will be critical for all client deliverables.Coach and equip team with the skill set required to address current and future role requirements, set expectations in timely manner and provide constructive feedback as their career manager.Manage project timelines and ensure timely and quality delivery of all reports and analyses.Build strong relationships and establish a collaborative environment with internal research partners based across the world.Lead standardization and innovation efforts to develop new and existing data assets, drive usage of new tools and techniques in your team including data visualization and automationGenerate ideas for creation of new reports on market and competitive insights. Actively work with the team to build protypes and move to production.Effectively manage communication within and outside the team.Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.Follow internal processes and policies, including, HR, IT and Finance

What you’ll need:

Graduate degree in any discipline.MBA or a master’s degree in economics/business/Statistics/Mathematics or other related fields from a leading Tier I & II – Business school or its equivalent, with significant expertise in data analysis, quantitative research, analytics or benchmarking.8- 11 years of experience in the research industry or related work, preferably across areas like IT Services /Software/Telecom/Communication Devices/Hardware Systems2-3 years of exposure to people mentoring/managing people/project management and recruitment-related activities
