About the Team

Workday’s Consulting teams are driven by a passion for our products and the success of our customers in implementing our best in class cloud solutions. We’re a diverse group of people, with an invaluable mix of experience and backgrounds, located across multiple locations within the region. We are often remote from one another but that doesn’t stop our sense of collaboration, supportiveness, and fun!

The Workday Extend Services team focuses on the implementation of custom business applications or application extensions using the Workday Extend platform and tooling. Extend Services sits within Workday’s Global Technical Services organization dedicated to the implementation of Workday Extend applications across all Industries and Geographies. We help customers make the most of the Workday platform!

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

Energetically recruit, develop, lead, and retain a diverse team of consultants supporting Workday’s Extend.

Promote a team-oriented, ambitious, and innovative work environment while maintaining and continuously improving the consultant onboarding, performance management, and career development process.

Collaborate with Resource Management, Sales, and Engagement Managers to effectively staff engagements and build the skills vital to Workday consultants.

Drive team and individuals to provide the best customer satisfaction in the industry to deliver on customer satisfaction, references, revenue utilization, and margin objectives.

Become knowledgeable in the Workday product, methodology, and customer requirements by actively providing consulting services and working closely with the project teams.

Ensure the consultants are adhering to the activities, processes, and procedures outlined in Workday's Implementation Methodology.

Contribute to the strategic direction of the organization through leading and participating in internal initiatives.

Manage a group of Workday Extend Services Consultants who design, develop, and deploy Workday Extend applications for Workday customers. These applications will be built to run along with Workday’s Human Resources, Financial Management, and Student Information Systems.

About You

Would you enjoy leading a team in a fast paced environment? Do you have an appetite for variety and challenging business problems to solve? Are you a great communicator with a passion for providing expert services to help our customers maximize the value of Workday solutions and coach less experienced team members? 

The ideal candidate will have a mix of product/program management, consulting, and people management skills with a strong working knowledge of professional services as it relates to enterprise software. Requirements include:

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of technical experience with with data migration, integration development, report building, or software development

Experience leading teams as a people manager and/or leading an implementation team implementing Platform-as-a-Service and/or custom web applications, including (ideally) implementing Workday solutions using Human Capital Management, Financial Management or Student Information Systems or similar cloud based applications.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

It is essential to be bilingual in Spanish and English

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Working knowledge of web service technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and authentication and authorization methods (OAuth, JWT, WS-Security, SAML, X.509, etc.)

Working knowledge of scripting skills (Python / REACT / JavaScript / Java)

Experience taking a leadership role within a software, system, or application implementation.
