Job Purpose Summary   
 

The Technical Consumer Research (TCR) Manager will be responsible for understanding and defining the fundamental consumer and sensory requirements for specific beverages categories and mastering and implementing appropriate research proposals to create consumer centric innovation (Product, package, equipment).

You will collaborate closely and independently with the Marketing Category, Human Insights, and Global Development & Innovation (GDI) teams. In this role, you will lead sensory and consumer research efforts that are pivotal to guiding product development and innovation. Your work will reinforce our commitment to delivering outstanding consumer experiences across the globe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

CONSUMER RESEARCH DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Leadership Categories and active participation in Global Communities.Proficient designing and conducting sensory & consumer research studies to influence and meet category objectives.  Develop and influence research briefs with cross functional teams identifying key business and project questions. Define fundamental consumer/sensory requirements of the assigned categories and inject the knowledge into solution development.Determine needs for conducting competitor benchmarking and product/packaging evaluation to understand the categories competitive landscape.Work as a close partner and deliver consumer centric results working in a matrix organization including with the GDI team, Marketing and Human Insights team.Active partnership with teams working on research-on-research initiatives or social listening global projects.


DATA ANALYTICS & SYNTHESIS 

Proficient analysis and interpretation of test results using appropriate statistical techniques (including parametric and non-parametric methods, ANOVA, factorial analysis and modelling).Form conclusions and provide recommendations based on strong technical consumer research and deep understanding of business environment.Proficient usage of statistical software (SPSS, SAS, etc.) and Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Word.Explore and test evolving technologies and data analytics to develop tools and solutions that bolster competitive advantage and deliver market-leading results. Stay current with relevant scientific literature. Inspire self and the team with internal and external resources.  

TECHNICAL RISK MANAGEMENT  

Work with the cross functional teams to understand and determine technical risk Type I Error (alpha) and Type II Error (beta).  Identify, evaluate and mitigate technical risks along the research process to increase confidence in final business decisions.Implement proactive measures to ensure project continuity and system integrity. 

TECHNCIAL COMMUNICATION & DATA STORYTELLING  

Proficient in written and oral communication, storytelling to share dataIndependently prepare and present technical conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences.  Ensure documentation within a governed structure  Visualize and present insights in presentations, PowerBI or other platforms.  

INFLUENCING & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT 

Build and nurture internal and external relationships, including collaboration with research suppliers, academic institutions, and cross-functional project teams, to support and advance organizational goals. Mentor and train colleagues on new methodologies and skills to continuously improve the competence of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS   

B.S or MS/PhD degree from an accredited college or university (in-market research, food or sensory science, behavioral psychology or related fields). Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in sensory or consumer science.

Results oriented.Strong problem-solving skills.Cross functional team interactions.Project management. Cultivates strong partnerships mainly but not exclusive to internal stakeholders.  .Process improvement mindset. Fluent in English. An additional language is a plus

Pay Range:

$105,000 - $129,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
