Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** The Manager of Technical Operations Communications is part of Global Engagement, a dynamic and collaborative team that helps shape the company’s actions, along with its engagement with internal and external stakeholders, to help build and protect the American Airlines brand and reputation. Specifically, this individual develops and executes communications initiatives that support the company’s technical operations, including maintenance, engineering and supply chain functions. This role leads a team that translates technical and operational concepts into clear and engaging narratives for internal audiences and media. **What you'll do** _This list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._ • Executes and drives various strategic communications efforts and leads, directs and provides guidance to Technical Operations communications team members who are also responsible for developing and managing communications that inform, educate, engage and align frontline team members, technicians, engineers and operational leaders. • Develops compelling business education campaigns that help all team members and the general public understand important operational business decisions. • Creates and executes plans for educating and engaging team members about key corporate initiatives, focusing on how these initiatives affect them and their day-to-day job. • Upholds the integrity of the Global Engagement division by developing and maintaining strong relationships between Global Engagement and operational leaders across the system, as well as with other workgroups within the organization. • Engages with and is an advisor to Technical Operations leaders about communications needs, timelines and delivery channels. • Collaborates with Global Engagement on broader issues and cross-functional storytelling opportunities. • Works with key delivery streams (process harm, product development) on upcoming changes necessitating communications. **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience** • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field • 5 years of communications experience **Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience** • 3 years providing effective communications related to Technical Operations activities **Skills, Licenses, and Certifications** • Ability to identify key messages from complex information; develop messaging and talking points; write and edit; create presentations; and coordinate across multiple functional areas of the business. • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Adobe and project management software. • Working knowledge of SharePoint and HTML editing. • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time. **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: 1.
