Manager, Training - Distribution Center

The Training Manager standardizes and facilitates training for AutoZoners, aiming to develop safe, accurate, and efficient employees, thereby reducing new hire turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
Train the Trainer Program: Execute, maintain, and evaluate quarterly.
Trainer Management: Select, monitor, and review trainers; maintain a database of trainers and new hires.
New Hire Training: Ensure training packets are up-to-date, assign trainers, track progress, and gather feedback.
DC Orientation: Assist with new hire orientation and recertification post-incident.
Collaboration: Partner with DC Safety Manager and management to address training needs and issues.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: 2+ years in a supervisory/advisor role; training experience preferred.
Certification: Must be certified to operate Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE).
Skills: Exceptional communication, team coaching, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. while using proper lifting techniques
Constant standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
Ability to hear safety horns, PIE horns, pre-shift announcements/safety messages, pages, and voxware picking with a headset
Ability to work in a Safety Sensitive environment, including navigating moving conveyors, heights, and always maintaining awareness of surroundings with quick reaction time to hazardous conditions
