Job Description Summary

Responsible for establishing, maintaining and developing relationships with both internal and external customers. Meet with customers to provide superior service by developing and promoting product and technical information. Additionally, achieve strategic service goals through one or more departments or teams of employees, while managing/staffing full responsibilities for their area.

Responsibilities

Owns one or more functions or processes with accountability to meet company objectives. 

Accountable for maintaining positive, proactive relationships with both internal and external customers. 

Continually search for ways to improve effectiveness, efficiency to all processes. 

Set department goals, objectives and priorities in alignment with company/divisional goals. 

In the Director/VP’s absence resolve escalated issues that would normally be handled by the Director/VP as they arise. 

Facilitate resolution of any problem that arises with an internal or external customer. 

Participates in interviewing and selection of new employees. Skilled in managing the culture and climate of the department through effective communication, standards setting and leading by example. Provide input to Director/VP on team needs. Collaborate with Director/VP and or team to design or recommend organizational changes to continually improve service delivery effectiveness, efficiency, and career path growth for staff. 

Act as a change agent and guide to build a cohesive network of working groups, comprised of subject matter experts and stakeholders, able to lead and support initiatives.  

Responsible for instructing, directing, mentoring, and checking the work of other business systems analysts. 

Become a SME for software platforms.  

Accountable for program and product builds, ensuring business needs are met through proper documentation, analysis, research, prioritization, understanding, accurate fulfillment of business requirements, quality assurance & defect resolution, 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. FLMI or CLU or similar professional designations. Minimum 7-10 years underwriting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of insurance processes and products.Strong demonstrated leadership skills.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills.Must be able to deal directly and effectively with senior management level both internally and externally.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure.Excellent decision making skills.Demonstrated project management experience.

Compensation

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $112-135K. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.  

 

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company discretion.
