Manager, Warehouse
Primary Function:

Oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods. Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and stock. Plans and organizes the receiving and shipping of Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers and or other produce within the warehouse. Ensure productivity targets are met and maintain computerized administration of inventory. Manage teams of workers and deal with personnel issues such as the training and discipline of staff.

Primary Responsibilities: Day-to-day supervision of staff, and overseeing work organized by team leaders Monitors status of incoming orders with logistics Ensures changes are made with Production schedules Administers quality inspection of all incoming product Makes sure all skids going/leaving racks are stacked properly Ensures product is slotted/shipped correctly Follow commodity specialist allocations and change orders Ensures receiving/shipping work together to fill orders in a timely fashion Understands the process of entering pick tickets in NAV Trains staff and monitors their performance and progress Overseeing inventory control and processing orders; oversees quality control during shift Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from the operation's headquarters Carrying out responsibilities for the use of computerized systems Responding to and dealing with commodity managers (sales) Keeping stock control systems up-to-date Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Briefing team leaders on the issues for that particular day Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment Tracks trailers in yard Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including personnel information Education/Background Requirements: College degree required Three years of related warehouse supervisor experience required Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Must pass Drug Test and Background Check Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job Spanish as a second language would be an asset Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required Highly proficient in computer use skills (MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, present information and direction, and field questions from managers, employees and external contacts Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws and requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant statues and guiding principles NAV experience of shipping, receiving, and inventory Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork
