The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
**_What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health_**
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

The Manager, Warehouse Operations Inbound/ Outbound oversees the building’s inbound processing, including receiving, put away, and returns to achieve operational efficiency and safety. Through successful operational and people management, this job delivers on the business unit’s short-term goals, improves profitability, and develops the business unit’s warehouse talent. This job also responds to urgent customer needs or supply disruptions to ensure customer commitments are fulfilled.
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Lead and direct a Supervisory team of X (10-15 _direct reports and 40+ indirect associates_ ) that includes inbound and outbound operations
+ Ensure the timely distribution and receipt of product while meeting the distribution center standards of budget, policies, procedures and quality
+ Lead initiatives designed to improve processes or continuous improvement projects throughout the facility
+ Provide leadership to the team and challenge the status quo; interact with employees on the floor and in an office setting
+ Influence and understand the business and culture strategy and translate the strategy into executable initiatives for their department
+ Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and participate in regularly scheduled meetings ( _this may include travel up to 25%_ )
+ Collaborate with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR groups on a daily basis
+ Cultivate positive relationships with peers and coworkers
+ Interview and make hiring decisions for supervisor, lead and niche roles
+ Develop the supervisory and employee population, which includes training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals
+ Manage the distribution operation utilizing appropriate systems to track, analyze and improve day to day operational metrics
+ Hold Supervisors accountable for their respective department KPI’s
+ Enforce Cardinal Health compliance and regulations for OSHA, DEA, FDA, state and local authorities, primary facility contact for QRA compliance
+ Manage site financial metrics including profit and loss and budgets
**_Qualifications_**
+ Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
+ 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
+ Prior leadership experience required
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Experience working within a warehouse (or distribution) environment preferred
+ Inventory planning and processing experience preferred
+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel ( _Pivot Tables and spreadsheets_ )
+ Experience working within ERP’s (SAP or Manhattan) preferred
+ Prior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives
+ Adaptable to operational needs
+ Ability to problem solve through complex scenarios and drive change
