The Apple Store Online Operations team is seeking a Manager of Workforce Planning & Insights to lead and expand analytics capabilities within our Workforce Strategy & Analytics (WSA) team. Reporting to the WSA Leader, the ideal candidate is an innovative, data-driven, and detail-oriented leader passionate about driving operational improvement. With expertise in data management and analytics, you collaborate with business partners to translate data into actionable insights. Join our team and help ensure that data is effectively used across the organization to optimize processes, improve performance, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.DescriptionDescriptionIn this role, you will manage, lead, and grow the team responsible for using data to forecast work, propose staffing plans, and balance cost, quality, and agility considerations to optimize workforce performance. Additionally, you will drive our ASO Operations data strategy, collaborating with cross-functional partners to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics, while building a common data foundation that supports robust reporting and analytics. Responsibilities include: Team Leadership and Development: Foster a positive and motivating work environment by promoting teamwork, diversity, inclusion and focusing on positive employee relationships. Coach, guide and develop each individual in their growth and career journey. Oversee Analysis: Define and implement scalable management systems that provide in-depth analysis support across ASO Operations, delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations to improve agility, workflow efficiency, and workforce effectiveness. Drive Data Strategy: Collaborate closely with ASO Operations stakeholders to prioritize data requirements and partner with technical experts on the development of a data warehouse that effectively surfaces and identifies operational bottlenecks.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in data management, business intelligence, or analytics, with at least 2 years in a leadership roleExcellent communication skills, translating complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for business leadersSuccess working effectively in a highly cross-functional environment, collaborating with diverse teamsBA/BS in Business Management, Engineering related degree, or equivalent work experienceKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in interpreting large and complex datasets using advanced analytics techniques (e.g. AI/ML, optimization models) and tools (e.g. Python, SQL, R).Experience as a trusted analytical advisor, with the ability to influence strategic decisions at senior leadership levels.Experience in developing and implementing data strategies and managing data governance frameworks.Leads by example, mentors, and develop team members, encouraging a high-performing team culture.Experience in workforce planning, staffing optimization, or resource managementMBA/MA or advanced degree.Education & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsMore
