Manager, Workplace Experience

The Manager, On-Site Experience is responsible for managing the associate experience in our headquarters and market offices.  This will include the maintenance and ongoing upfit of these spaces to meet the growing needs of the teams using them as well as providing engaging activities to foster and build company culture.

Primary Accountabilities:

General

Create and execute the standards of experience for our headquarters and market offices, and ensure a consistent level of experience.

Partner with local leaders at remote offices for execution as new enhancements are rolled out.

Lead Building Services team to execute needed day to day tasks in our headquarters located in Winston Salem NC.

Associate Experience & Engagement (60%)

Create a welcoming and engaging environment for all associates, visitors, and guests.

Foster a positive associate experience by assisting HR and Communications with organizing and managing engagement activities, including team-building events, recognition programs, and social gatherings.

Partner with local leaders to coordinate and execute associate experience initiatives, ensuring alignment with company culture and values.

Manage internal communications related to office events, engagement programs. 

Coordinate the setup and execution of in-office events, including AV setup and technical support for presentations and virtual meetings.

Provide direction to ensure AV tools are effective and used to enhance in office experiences.

Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to enhance the overall associate experience, including the onboarding process, workspace setup, and associate feedback.

Actively contribute to creating an innovative, engaging, and vibrant office environment that promotes collaboration and productivity.

Monitor associate needs and feedback to continuously improve office culture, space functionality, and engagement.

Provide experiences within the space that help serve as a cultural anchor for the associates.

Promote environmentally friendly practices within the workplace, including energy and waste management initiatives.

Maintain a high level of service in the support of internal and external events.

Provide leadership and guidance on the best way to execute events to meet objectives.

Partner with Internal teams to manage and maintain AV systems, including technology related to video conferencing tools.

Troubleshoot AV issues quickly to minimize downtime and ensure high quality meeting execution.

Coordinate with external vendors for advanced AV equipment or specialized technical support. 

Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and best practices to enhance technical capabilities.

Office Operations, Maintenance, and Vendor Management (40%)

Manage relationships with service providers to ensure smooth daily operations.

Plan and execute office layout improvements, ensuring ergonomic, safe, and efficient workspaces that optimize employee workflows.  

Manage office-related expenses, maintaining budget controls for supplies, furniture, and services.

Facilitate regular inspections and proactive maintenance to keep offices in optimal condition, ensuring facilities are compliant with health and safety regulations

Ensure facilities are secure and equipped with necessary safety measures.

Partner with landlord personnel to manage day to day activities.

Ensure excellent working conditions and cleanliness.

Maintain operational effectiveness of furniture and equipment.

Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 30% of the time.

Management/Supervision:

Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective onboarding experience, providing comprehensive training and regular feedback.

Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures, and productivity standards.

Establishes annual targets and objectives for the department based on the organization’s strategic goals.

Responsible for achieving organizational performance and retention goals, including timely completion of performance evaluations.  

Required Qualifications:

An associate degree from an accredited college required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

8-10 years of related work experience in business, logistics, or facilities management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with confidence, clarity, and focus; able to convey concepts and considerations to non-technical and technical experts alike

Leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across organizations, bridge gaps between teams, and successfully influence without authority

Proficiency in Google Suite

Proficiency in project management

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations

Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence
