Job Description
Markets the Old Mutual product set to the distribution channels. Identifies product marketing opportunities. Initiates, implements and monitors agreed marketing plans. Assists Product Management, Product Marketing, Distribution Marketing, Regional Marketing Managers on the roll out of product marketing strategies. Responsible for a more complex client base that requires stronger product knowledge than Senior Specialist Product Marketing.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree: bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.Relevant Work Experience: Gaining experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field is crucial. This can include roles such as marketing coordinator, marketing specialist, or advertising executive.Leadership Experience: Experience in leading teams and managing projects is often required. This can be gained through roles like marketing manager or project manager.Industry-Specific Experience: Financial services experience would be advantageous. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and consumer behavior.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey marketing messages.Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies.The above summary is in line with MFC Segment expectations. Marketing Impact AssessmentCollect and synthesize metrics and other data and participate in reviews of marketing activities to identify possible improvements.
Data Collection and AnalysisUse data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.
Portfolio ManagementPlan and manage the delivery of projects within an area of professional expertise, using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are achieved.
Product and Solution DevelopmentAnalyze and evaluate the feasibility and relevance of proposed complex products and services and develop and amend, as necessary, with guidance from senior colleagues. May also be responsible for supervising activities performed by a product development or specialist team.
Product ManagementTake responsibility for all aspects of a life cycle of a product or set of products, including long- and short-term development and marketing. Stay abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position.
Stakeholder EngagementContribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns, arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
BudgetingDeliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.
