Manager – IP Video Operations

JOB SCOPE

Responsible for the deployment, operation and restoration of video products and solutions.  Drive strategic direction and management of the video operations staff across various platforms, in various locations, with varying degrees of technology. Deploy and ensure consistent, structured and disciplined practices to ensure stable product delivery consistent with company initiatives and expectations. Support Regional and market operations to ensure unparalleled customer experience.  


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Report to senior management on weekly & monthly metrics on Incidents, outages, impairments, support tickets, and deploymentsProvide on-call support for all issues reported by Network Operations Center. Ensure effective outage management and drive issues to root cause.Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies, and documentation requirements for all production change deploymentsGuide/mentor the team through the Kubernetes infrastructure build outs in AWS, deployment of software applications through DevOps tools Jenkins, ArgoCD, monitoring & alerts through Datadog & splunk, security practices.Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availabilityTask allocation and performance evaluation of team membersProject scheduling and resource management using JIRAMeet with stakeholder teams and conduct regular team meetings, and track deployments/project progressInterview candidates and hire technical resourcesConduct performance reviews of team members and identify areas of improvement, give feedback, and recommend for promotions or salary incrementsProvide an efficient working atmosphere to project teams and ensure objectives are met within stipulated timeActively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Research issue and resolution of action items as needed and directed by Charter Ensure that all engineers have an active development plan and are progressing in their skill sets. 

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Management, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience Minimum five (5) years of Experience in Video Control and Distribution SystemsMinimum three (3) years of Engineering management experience

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

2+ years of Experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Datadog, Splunk, devOps tools and JIRA to guide team members as needed. Ability to provide the 27x7 operation support for IP Video issuesAbility to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner Strong ability to handle multiple projects and tasks Ability to supervise and motivate team members  Strong ability to work with internal/external clients, various operation support groups, vendors, carriers and utilize all network tools and resources to resolve the majority of trouble tickets assigned. Strong knowledge of IP Video solutions

The base pay for this position generally is between $98,900.00 and $175,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
