The Position Professional Engineer Managers plan, coordinate and oversee projects, programs and consultant contracts/agreements and perform licensed professional engineering functions. The incumbent will assist the District Engineer in providing technical support and information exchange to various Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) sections and other local agencies; represent NDOT District I at meetings and committees; review roadway capacity, efficiency, safety, and geometric design throughout the District; review sign, pavement markings, other related traffic control devices, traffic control plans, and work zones for permit work and District projects; coordinate the operation and design of various Intelligent Transportation Systems; and direct and manage the Traffic Section, Permit Section, Road Operations, Storm Water Compliance, and Utility Inspection staff. Special Notes A person that is a licensed Professional Engineer in another state must become licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada within six months of appointment as a condition of continuing employment.
