Under general direction, the Manager of a Business Analyst Team coordinates and manages unit-wide administrative functions to include development and implementation of management and operations strategies. Lead and manage a team of Business Process Analysts, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development to ensure high performance and career growth. Collaborates with cross functional team of project managers, operations manager, and developers to coordinate work, design and implement solutions. Ensures team completes work within identified time frames and with a high degree of quality. Reviews, analyzes, implements, and evaluates business systems and user needs for a core functional area. Performs analysis for assigned work and projects.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff. Monitors work in progress and upon completion. Implements corrective action as required. Oversees and manages staffing. Informs operations budgets. Develops work plans in accordance with established unit and department objectives and funding limitations. Reviews job performance in conjunction with established unit, department and university goals and objectives. Recommends and monitors compliance with department policies and procedures. Facilitates administrative projects and work groups. Communicates with other department and university administrators; resolves or assists with the resolution of sensitive issues. Leverages a structured approach to business process analysis, including methodologies, tools, and best practices. Collaborates with stakeholders across various departments to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for process improvement. Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization. Develop and maintain documentation of current processes, proposed improvements, and impact assessments. Design and oversee the implementation of process improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and drive continuous improvement. Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management on project progress, challenges, and recommendations. Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in business process management to drive innovation and competitive advantage.Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND five (5) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Nine (9) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
