Job Summary
Manages all leave of absence cases and claims for the assigned population according to our policies while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws. Provides exemplary customer service, guidance and assistance to employees, managers, and HR business partners. Manages compliance updates and process improvements. In addition, be an integral part of the Benefits Services Group supporting the team through major initiatives such as Open Enrollment, seasonal ramp-up, and benefit fairs.

Job Responsibilities:
• Is the subject matter expert for the leave programs in alignment with HR leave policies.
• Interprets and manages leave policies in accordance with applicable federal and state employment laws.
• Partners with the business, managers, HR, Health Safety, and Legal and advocates for employees by identifying pain points they face during the leave process. Develops, communicates, and helps implement legally sound strategies for resolution.
• Owns the case management process for the assigned caseload. Maintains appropriate contact with employees on leave, their managers, and HR to engage in the interactive dialogue regarding accommodations, the return-to-work process, extensions, etc.
• Manages the third-party administrator to ensure leaves are processed appropriately company wide and all relevant and complete documentation is submitted for timely review.
• Develops and delivers ongoing education and training to HR and managers on FMLA and other leaves.
• Develops, analyzes, and presents reports on a regular basis to analyze leave data and trends. Based on the results of the analysis, identify opportunities and recommend solutions.
• Coordinates with HR Technology, HR Programs, and other teams to improve the leave administration process.
• Participates in cyclical benefit programs including Open Enrollment, Ramp-up and Benefit Fairs.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

Job Requirements:
• Corporate experience in a customer focused and analytical role.
• PC skills with the Microsoft suite including, Access, Excel, Word required, and knowledge of PeopleSoft HR system and SharePoint preferred.
• Is attentive to detail and accuracy and committed to excellence and quality.
• Understand employee concerns and wants in order to help influence potential benefit program changes.
• Completes moderate to complex analysis of current programs to determine overall performance.
• Looks for ways to improve the current benefit programs and processes.
• Makes timely decisions, uses consensus when possible and communicates effectively to other team members and leadership.
• Is able to sort through issues, seek input from others in order to identify and address the root cause of issues.
• Completes tasks in a timely manner, is punctual at work and in meetings. Shows consistent effort.
• Handles pressure well, adjusts plans to meet change needs and acts on opportunities.
• Experience with Leave of Absence administration.
