POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will be responsible for overseeing a team of AgriGold and LG Seeds agronomists in the eastern United States, coaching and developing them to reach their full potential while ensuring high-quality service and delivery across various projects to drive sales. The ideal candidate would be located in either Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of AgriGold and LG Seeds agronomists, helping them meet business objectives and grow professionally Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing Technical Expertise & Oversight: Supervise the division’s field-testing program and coordinate support of the AgReliant Genetics’ PCR Program Stay current on the latest agronomy trends, technologies, and industry best practices, ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of the field. Ensure that all agronomists are applying up-to-date, accurate, and effective practices for crop management Provide expert agronomic guidance and technical support within the agronomy leadership team Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the division sales leader to accelerate sales and develop divisional strategies Communicate and work closely with other departments, including sales, product strategy, and marketing, to align agronomy efforts with broader organizational goals Facilitate the integration of product and agronomic insights into product development and marketing strategies Customer Service and Support Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism. Project a positive image of AgReliant Genetics and brand of representation. Assist in Sales Agronomists duties and responsibilities as required Maintain appearance of company vehicle and equipment in an acceptable manner. Participate and attend company functions as required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 10+ years of diverse industry experience, including ≥5 years in an agronomy role
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong technical knowledge of agronomy Ability to mentor, coach, and lead a team, with a focus on professional development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and functions. Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Up-to-date knowledge of industry technologies, trends, and innovations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work required hours Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines. Some overnight travel required.
