Responsibilities

Note: This role is remote eligible in the Northeast and Upper Midwest US.

 

The Manager Area Loss Prevention leads and coordinates all Loss Prevention functions in an assigned market, of multiple states, to achieve maximum effectiveness in inventory shortage and protection of company assets and people. This position manages and oversees policy and procedure effectiveness through compliance auditing and the use of exception reporting.  This role manages investigating internal theft, organized retail crime, scams, short changed artists, workplace violence, active shootings, and fraud. The Areal Loss Prevention Manager also leads and investigates all controllable lines to include shrink, cash shortages, bad checks and credit card chargebacks. Additionally, this role requires the strategic ability to manage others in developing new programs and initiatives that reduce shrink and safety issues along with presenting training and awareness material during store visits, conference calls, and meetings.  Lastly, this role will participate in special assignments, including executive protection, special event coordination, HR investigations, safety, and various brand security functions. The Area Loss Prevention Manager will lead the Districts Loss Prevention Manager and Investigator positions and requires excellent communication skills.  This position is responsible for all Express brands, including retail, outlet, Edit, and Bonobos locations within the assigned market.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Leads programs to resolve and prevent internal and external thefts to the companyManages informational sources and reporting to uncover potential losses, along with compliance auditingLeads and coordinates special events, inspections, and tasks as directed by their supervisorLeads and coordinates physical security controls in assigned locations to prevent shrink, burglaries, and violent situations.Ability to maintain confidentiality Build outstanding partnerships with the store teams to drive loss prevention programs, initiatives, compliance and awareness around theft, fraud, safety.Conduct detailed audits in high loss locationsLeads a team of District Loss Prevention Managers and/or Investigators

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferredWicklander certified with extensive experience in conducting internal theft interviews7+ years of retail loss prevention experience3-5 years of retail district/regional loss prevention experience which includes multi-store supervision.5+ years of leadership experience

 

CRITICAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Advanced level of administrative and technical knowledge in retail loss prevention Ability to integrate loss prevention, inventory shrinkage reduction goals with corporate and stores organization Advanced knowledge and technical expertise in internal and external case resolution; Wicklander certifiedAbility to understand computer-based reporting in the areas of inventory, POS (point of sale), and exception based reporting interfaces Ability to maintain confidentiality Thorough knowledge of legal ramifications and procedures Extensive travel is required Excellent communication skills
