Overview

The Business Development Manager is a determined business leader, independent contributor, and solid teammate, responsible for helping Manufactured Technologies Corporation (MTC) grow its sales within a defined territory and/or product category under Azuria's Infrastructure Solutions Group.

Primary Responsibilities

Gain a comprehensive understanding of MTC products and servicesIdentify, develop and close sales opportunities to help MTC achieve its revenue and profit goalsConduct in-person and/or digital sales calls with existing customers and prospectsQualify leads for subsequent opportunities using CRM tool (Salesforce)Remain current on sales performance – i.e., status updates on activity, forecast and winsPrepare quotes and set pricing based on established pricelists and guidance from VP/GMAssist customers with product design questions, submittals, technical data and deliver prompt investigation of client concerns, providing solutions and/or referral to appropriate MTC/Aegion personnelHelp get technical specifications included in bid/scope documentsCultivate market intelligence and perform analysis of competitor products, services and pricingRoute customer orders and wet out requests to Customer Service teamRepresent MTC at trade shows and/or professional organizationsAssist with A/R collectionsParticipate in the development of future business plans, sales and marketing communications

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering, or construction managementMinimum of 5-7 years related sales experience within the trenchless industry, CIPP (preferred)Must be comfortable meeting sales activity and performance expectations with a genuine interest in serving customers, self-motivated, competitive and achievement oriented, and capable of working independently within a team structure while being supervised remotelyStrong interpersonal skills – good listener/communicator, problem solver and negotiatorTravel by automobile and airplane required up to 50-75%
