Amex Digital Labs is responsible for catalyzing digital innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and managing emerging products and platforms that can be essential to our customers’ digital lives. We strive to emphasize creativity, customer centricity, and innovation. The Global Digital Payments & Partnerships team is a high impact group within Amex Digital Labs responsible for launching, managing, and expanding new digital payments products and partnerships, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Meta, and other emerging players in the space.

As Manager in this role, you will lead new and existing global digital payments partnerships, including Skipify and Account Connect.  You will own senior-level partner relationships, lead major contract and expansion negotiations, develop the overall partnership strategies, and oversee the go to market planning for new products and experiences.  You will collaborate extensively with the Digital Labs product team and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across Strategic Partnerships, Marketing, and General Counsel's Office, among others. 

How will you make an impact in this role?

Provide thought leadership on the evolving digital payments landscape to identify new partnership opportunities, drive the strategic roadmap of existing partnerships, and monitor the competition Work with teams across the enterprise including Strategic Partnerships and GMNS to build and maintain a center of excellence around digital wallet players and trends Effectively establish, manage, and grow relationships with internal and external partners in the digital payments space Collaborate with product, enablement, and network teams on the development of new products, experiences, and market expansions Lead the relationship with Skipify, Account Connect, and other new, emerging digital payments partnerships Advance the graduation of certain merchant card on file solutions to other business units

Preferred Qualifications

Strategy, business development, or partner management experience Strong interest in digital payments, emerging platforms and consumer trends Exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to work with stakeholders across different functions, colleagues at all levels, and with external partners Comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to translate abstract problems into actionable business opportunities Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop winning digital payment product and platform strategies

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
