Scope of work

Plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the Central Sterile Processing Department in accordance with Federal, State and Local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern decontamination, sterilization and distribution of instrumentation, case cart assembly, patient implants/equipment, outside services and specialty supplies/instruments required for Surgical Services, Clinical Nursing Areas and Hospital Clinics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, science, or related field or equivalent Required.Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Preferred.A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Central Sterile Processing or Surgical Services Required.Two (2) years of increasingly responsible supervisory or management experience Required.A thorough knowledge of asepsis, surgical instruments, patient care equipment, sterilization, decontamination, and case cart system Required.If RN, MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.CBSPD Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Tech (CSPDT) within 1 year Required.
