Job Description
Responsible for strategy and daily operational oversight of the Clinical Diabetes Education (CDE) program. Supervises CDEs and facilitates day-to-day operations of inpatient and outpatient diabetes services across 2 major pediatric hospitals and oversees community-based education to partner locations (schools and daycares). Participate in reviews of program, system and patient outcomes to make program changes using data including volume, revenue, safety, outcomes, and satisfaction Proactively supports efforts that ensure safe, effective, high-quality, and efficient patient care coordination. Serve on the Diabetes leadership committees, providing insight and direction for diabetes education programming, both annually and long-term.Experience
Meets criteria for Diabetes Educator Practice Level 3 as defined by the American Association of Diabetes EducatorsMore than 5 years of direct engagement in the diabetes as a specialty practice.2 years of experience in pediatrics2 years of experience in people management2 years of experience in program managementPreferred Qualifications
