Position Summary:
Plans, implements, and evaluates the education program within MHMG. Develops and implements education orientation and competencies in alignment with regulatory requirements, the organization’s strategic initiatives, best practices, and employee needs. Implements staff education programs for all divisions of the organization. Programs consist of on-site, on-line, and take-home models. Implements, and evaluates nursing information systems which support nursing practice. This includes clinical process improvement, redesign, and project management.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Leads and teaches Lean experience courses.2. Supervises the clinical nursing educators and informatic clinical RNs.
3. Develop effective strategies in use of Health Information Technology (IT) to facilitate quality improvement and improve patient outcomes.
4. Develops and implements staff education based on identified needs or organization and regulatory requirements.
5. Supports QI process through data extraction and analysis enabled by electronic health records.
6. Responsible for program planning which includes estimating costs, monitoring expenses, managing budgets and other financial resources, and analyzing trends and making projections for future financial requirements.
7. Coordinates with nursing leadership, information management and staff, on the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of nursing information systems (example of this includes HCHB and SHP).
8. Oversees the measurement and evaluation of outcomes of nursing education.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current state license to practice as a registered nurse.
• Minimum 2 years of education experience.
• Minimum 1 year Experience in Information Systems within Nursing Informatics.
• WCC certification within 12-month of start date.
• BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Five or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in education and/or informatics.
