Currently we are looking for a Manager - Collections & Accounts Receivable
The Manager, Collections & Accounts Receivable is responsible for coordinating day-to-day collection activities to ensure efficient and effective operations, as well as managing the accounts receivable function to implement best practices and process improvements. This position manages a team of Collections Specialists and Accounts Receivable Specialists who are responsible for researching account issues, cash application, and payment resolution while providing top notch customer service.
What you will be doing Oversee the review and monitoring of client accounts receivable balances.Guide Collection Specialists on client account issue resolution.Oversee and monitor client notification regarding outstanding receivables as well as identify clients with potential collection issues and develop collection strategies.Implement and document AR and collection procedures, issue resolution and formal dispute tracking.Establish policies and procedures to ensure that daily checks, credit cards and wire transactions are posted accurately, timely and appropriately to the correct account and reconciled.Develop internal controls for cash receipt/application and weekly reports to monitor compliance.Oversee accounts receivable reconciliations monthly, understanding all reconciling items and providing required backup documentation.Analyze key metrics to identify trends and develop action plans.Contribute to and manage an approved budget.Collaborate with team members and cross departmental stakeholders in creation and coordination of mutual goals.Manage and lead the direction of executing department benchmarks, protocols, and objectives. Assess employee and team performance against established quality metrics; track team performance against established metrics and hold direct reports accountable for meeting defined performance standards; provide feedback to employees.Perform all Human Resources-related managerial functions and responsibilities associated with hiring, compensation management, employment relations, and termination of employees.Develop team members; coach employees through their personal growth in: functional expertise, communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with clients and peers.
