Position Overview

The Manager of Commercial Project Managers is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of Commercial Project Managers who manage our large-scale  projects. This role requires a deep understanding of project management, financial acumen, and the ability to lead a team towards successful project completion.

In addition, the role is responsible to directly manage a small portfolio of C-level projects as the assigned CPM.

What You Will Be Doing

Team Leadership

Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to Commercial Project Managers, fostering professional growth and development. Performance Management: Evaluate team performance, set objectives, and ensure all project managers meet or exceed expectations. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources and personnel to ensure the successful execution of large-scale projects.

Strategic Planning

Project Oversight: Oversee multiple large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies across all projects, minimizing potential setbacks and maximizing project success. Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

Financial Management

Budget Oversight: Monitor and manage the financial aspects of large projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain financially viable and profitable. Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute commercial strategies that align with Siemens’ business objectives and market positioning.

Stakeholder Engagement

Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure project alignment with company-wide goals and initiatives. Executive Reporting: Report project statuses and financial health to executive management, providing insights and recommendations.


What You Will Need to Be Successful

Minimum requirements

Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing large project budgets. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Advanced knowledge of project management tools and software, including SAP and excel. Proven experience managing a team of project managers, preferably in a similar industry (preferred) PM@Siemens “C” lvl certification (preferred)Legally authorized to work in the United States

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
