The Manager - Commercialization will lead and manage the commercialization of key ingredients by Menu Category. They will collaborate with R&D team and suppliers to develop Gold Standard specification taking ownership for final product specification including data analysis, monitoring techniques and final transition to Quality Assurance. The Manager will act as a QA Liaison to assure specification refinement and monitoring programs are appropriate. Within same menu categories, they will lead and manage cost savings initiatives and ESG efforts as functional expert working with suppliers, QA, QSCC, Sensory Science and R&D teams to amend Wendy’s specification to meet business strategies.

Responsibilities Collaborate with R&D team to assure that new products are commercialized to consistently meet customer expectation and operational execution on defining and assuring specification accurately reflects gold standard attributes.Create a monitoring plan in collaboration with R&D and QA. Attend initial production runs and subsequent runs to ensure specification compliance. Manage product monitoring, data analysis and the finalization of Specification including transition to QA team.Identify manufacturing and technology opportunities that increase quality, ingredient integrity, ESG improvements, competitive advantage or cost savings opportunities.Collaborate with QA, QSCC, Menu Innovation, Sensory Science and suppliers to evaluate and ultimately approve costs savings initiatives and ESG initiatives. Lead technical expert working with suppliers and leveraging sensory and consumer tools to guide development to meet Wendy’s quality standards while achieving cost savings.

What we expect from you Bachelors degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Biology or equivalent experience is required.10+ years experience in Manufacturing, Commercialization or Quality Assurance.Excellent computer skills which include analytical/statistical software applications.Project management experience.Strong relationship building, communication and influence skills.“Wendy’s was built on the premise, "Quality is our Recipe®," which remains the guidepost of the Wendy's system. The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.  This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. *  The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
