The Role
Our Banking & Financial Services Consulting group is looking for a Manager Consulting to join our journey.
We’re looking for Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Manager, Consulting (which is a Senior Manager level position) this means a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as a the owner of a workstream; maintaining expertise in your domain; meaningfully contributing to the sales process through a mix of RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and flawless delivery; creating service offerings and/or client partner training materials; and contributing to People Care initiatives, recruiting, and mentoring. In addition to enabling consulting excellence through the Five Pillars of Consulting, the specific requirements for this position are below.
Consulting Manager demonstrates exceptional core consulting skills and possesses the ability to provide solution to our client’s most challenging problems. S/he are responsible for the day to day activities of an engagement and are seen as the central point of contact to consulting Directors and Partners. S/he works with leadership to understand the objectives of an engagement, then structures the team and translates objectives to clear goals and tasks. As a critical “keystone” to any engagement, s/he collaborates with others, listens up/down, effectively communicates and adapts to change. S/he is seen as a natural coach and leader, one who knows how to get the best performance out of each team member, as well as grows talent for the long term.

Responsibilities
Problem and Scope Definition: Work with engagement leadership and client to fully estimate scope and plan project accordingly Translate engagement objectives into defined scope and executable tasks for managers and team membersRequirements Gathering: Translate “big picture” for each team member to drive requirements, and partner with client and team to identify key process stakeholders for each work stream Sign off on quality and relevance of requirements before they go to client. Hands-on development and documentation of business requirements for system enhancements and operational changes. Analyze current ETF administration processes and identify areas for improvement and efficiency. Assist in developing and managing product roadmap, driving prioritization of features while balancing customer and business impacts. Collaborate with IT and operational teams to implement process improvements and automation solutions. Support the strategic initiatives of the client’s ETF product offerings. Collaborate with other analysts, product owners, technology specialists in a multi-vendor environment to work towards issue resolution. Understand business requirements and perform data analysis and compile data gaps and review with business. Coach team to construct problem statement to include problem description, those affected and benefits of solving the problem, and implications of not doing so Help each manager to define project boundaries and reporting cadence for their areas Identify key stakeholders for each work stream; lead managers and/or team(s) to construct stakeholder analysis Identify engagement risks and mitigation strategies for each work stream and across work streams Lead and support practice initiatives as per the role expectations within identified area of competency Support development of RFI/RFP responses and other business development opportunities Act as a trusted resource who understands client objectives, manages project, and leads team to deliver superior results Identify and support areas to build practice capabilities and presence, support service line development and case studies through the gathering of industry best practices and self-knowledge
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications such as CFA/ FRM preferred, but not mandatory Minimum 10 years of business analysis experience in Capital markets, trading applications, securities lending, securities finance within banking and financial services industry Experience of working in programs involving US ETF Administration - daily operations of Exchange traded fund (ETF) products, index funds, investment funds, including order processing, trade settlements, and reconciliations, creation and redemption processes Familiarity with processes involving coordination with NSCC, custodians, fund accountants, and transfer agents to maintain operational efficiency. Proficiency in Agile methodologies Demonstrated experience problem solving and developing products from scratch. Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model. Ability to handle ambiguity and white space.
