Northrop Grumman is seeking a Contracts Manager - Manager Level 1 to join the qualified and diverse individuals of the Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD). This role is to supervise a small team of direct reports and will directly manage the Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) program out of Northrop Grumman’s Civil Space Systems business unit. This position will be located full time at Northrop Grumman’s Dulles, Virginia offices.

Our Contracts Manager will be responsible for leading, strategizing and conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiations and administration and customer contact activities. You will ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal and customer requirements.

Position general responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Review, negotiate, manage and closeout the contract process.Provide advice and counsel to senior leadership on contractual risks and obligations along with interpreting terms and conditions.Oversee strategy, coordination, pricing, approval, submittal and negotiation of proposals.Bridging contract requirements and program execution.Maintaining close customer relationships to meet customer needs while balancing Northrop Grumman objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience.Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degreeSolid foundation in interpreting and drafting changes to commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, memorandums of agreement, teaming agreements and similar documentsWorking knowledge of FAR, DFAR or government acquisition regulationsPrior experience negotiating and executing a variety of contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price, Fixed Price Incentive Fee, etc.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and change directions when neededExperience working with Microsoft 365 applications and AdobeMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance.

Salary Range: $107,300.00 - $160,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
