The Manager of Cyber Security Operations is responsible for overseeing the 24/7/365 cyber security activities for the Wendy's brand. This role includes leading a team of internal analysts and engineers with a focus on threat detection, threat hunting, and threat intelligence. The team will collaborate with our third-party 24/7 Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure log sources and alerting rules are capable of detecting modern threats. The team will also handle escalated incidents from the MSP, including managing a global team assigned to SIEM Investigations, Incident Response, and Threat Intelligence. The responsibilities further include managing team responses to cyber incidents and coordinating with business and technical teams to detect, contain, eradicate, notify, and recover from threats. Additionally, the role involves working with the information security compliance team to ensure the regulatory compliance of our tools and processes.

Responsibilities Manages and sets priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of the Security Operations team and infrastructure including security management tools, security logging tools, and endpoint protection platforms.Enhance the company's threat detection, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and incident response capabilities.  Responsible for managing external relationships with strategic partners.Manages operational costs and contributes to the annual budgeting process.Provides Foundational Security Services to the Wendy’s franchise system.As a core member of the company's Incident Response Team (IRT), this role involves directing and overseeing cyber incident response for the Wendy’s system, acting as the liaison between the technical response team and IT senior leadership during incidents. Additionally, this position assists the team in reviewing, updating, and ensuring compliance with Wendy’s Information Security Incident Management Playbooks.

What we expect from you High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or MIS or preferred.8 – 10 years Information Technology/Information Security experience.Strong background in threat detection, threat intelligence, and threat hunting including the deployment and use of enterprise security tools such as SIEMs, EDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms, email security gateways, log management tools, etc.Knowledge of digital forensic investigation/analysis, advanced incident handling, intelligence gathering, forensic research, and formal incident investigation.Experience with the functions and management of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) tools, ESG (Email Security Gateway) tools, and TIP (Threat Intelligence Platform) tools.   Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Industry specific certification from SANS/GIAC, ISC2, etc.Experience working for a globally distributed retail organization. The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.  This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. *  The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
