Position Summary
The Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization is going through an important evolution to enable more reliable and consistent delivery of medicines to patients faster. This evolution includes elements that will help elevate its current operations to be best in class and differentiate them as a competitive advantage for the future. As part of the evolution GPS needs to become a Digital First organization. Digital First means leveraging the best of technology, data, analytics, business processes and people to achieve improved business outcomes.
The person in this role will be a part of the Data Strategy & Governance team, focusing on Data Lifecycle implementation. As the Data Strategy and Governance team defines the Data Lifecycle processes for GPS, this person will evaluate system functionality and guide retrofit activities to enable portions of Data Create, Remediate, Integrate, and Retire. Focus is ERP to start, but will expand to include LIMS, MES, Veeva, and other core systems.
Key Responsibilities
Support system assessment and IT implementation as a part of the End-to-end Data Create process implementation for Right First Time (RFT) data entry:
Where GPS systems are impacted due to data lifecycle design, perform impact assessment and help the broader team understand scope of work required to accommodate the respective changes.
Evaluate system functionality and guide retrofit activities to enable data lifecycle processes.
Once system changes have been approved, work with IT to ensure implementation, functional testing, and preparation for User Acceptance Testing.
Ensure sustainment plans are in-place and in line with GPS Network standards and SOP documentation.
Drive new attribute implementation into our Decision Intelligence capability (including loading of Business Rules and coordination of testing):
Translate Data Lifecycle designs into action plans for Decision Intelligence delivery.
Work with Data Strategy and Governance team and Decision Intelligence CoE to integrate necessary Business Rule / standard updates, ensuring testing plans are in-place for Data Quality dashboard.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
B.S. or BA in supply chain, management and/or engineering (biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering, or related disciplines).
Experience across multiple Global Product Development and Supply business functions with a diverse set of data management applications desired.
Operational excellence experience (Green/Black belt or equivalent) preferred.
Experience:
3-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, or Regulatory Management.
3-5 years of experience in Strategic Data Management disciplines including Data Governance, Master Data Management, and Data Quality Management.
Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.
Exposure and experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, principles, and practices.
