Manager Electric Metering

**Job Summary**
Leads the Metering department in managing all applicable related field operations work and resources and supports administrative activities. Ensures effective prioritizing and assignment of all metering related work requests and all related pertinent information to safely deliver compliance and exceptional customer service.
**Essential Functions**
+ Makes sound decisions based on customer satisfaction, economic value, and safety of field personnel.
+ Evaluates field personnel performance. Provide recognition for good performance and corrective coaching and corrective action/discipline for unacceptable performance.
+ Manages the effective scheduling and oversight of a mobile workforce
+ Strategy development to deliver the Corporate vision and fulfill the Operating Model
+ Communication to field operations management on key strategic and operational matters
+ Identification, implementation and use of enabling technology for managing work
+ Directs team members to prioritize and assign orders to assure all commitments are met
+ Champions consistency and collaboration throughout Operations
+ Provides effective communication, motivation, guidance, training and knowledge to the team members
+ Manages toward aggressive financial and departmental targets
+ Develops and implements plans to ensure elevated customer satisfaction levels
+ Analyzes various systems for resource optimization
+ Budgets management and adherence
+ Oversees Electric Metering department and function
+ Oversees the installation, removing and testing of electronic control or electronic demand
+ Coaches staff of for proper work performance with respect to productivity, safety and quality to meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
+ Directs problem solving in the field with respect to system operational difficulties.
**Required Qualifications For Position**
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent utility work experience
+ Prior supervisory experience
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers
+ Ability to facilitate consensus
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Working knowledge of PC applications
+ Demonstrated sense of urgency, commitment, follow through and execution
+ Time management skills
+ Ability to draw accurate conclusions from quantitative information and make sound decisions
+ Ability to properly coordinate and manage multiple tasks.
+ Good supervisory and leadership skills.
+ Organizational and communication skills.
+ Customer oriented.
+ Understanding of electric and/or gas theory and field work practices.
+ Working knowledge of computers and
+ Proven ability to make rational decisions under pressure
+ Valid driver's license
**Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position**
+ 3+ years of leadership experience
+ 3+ years of operations experience
+ Extensive electric distribution operations
+ NIPSCO operating systems experience, such as CIS, SAP, Salesforce

$107,000.00 - $160,500.00
