Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking multiple leaders to manage its growing radio frequency (RF) microwave and mixed signal electrical subsystem and hardware design engineering team. These groups are responsible for architecting, designing, verifying, and supporting existing and future RF microwave and mixed signal assemblies and subsystems across a variety of platforms. Group skill sets include trading requirements, package and device trade studies and specification, frequency planning, RF budgeting and chain analysis, board and assembly design, electromagnetic simulation, data reduction and analysis, design verification, and production support. These positions are dual role encompassing both people and project/technical leadership.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead an engineering functional group of 10 to 15 engineers including performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning
Provide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the group
Ensure application of design processes and guidelines used in the group
Develop proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customers
Collaborate with peer managers to ensure consistency across multiple work groups
Support department initiatives, recruiting, cross-campus/sector involvement, and internally funded projects
This position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining the required level of US Security Clearance
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience, a master’s degree with 7 years of experience or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain/ maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
Engineering experience which has included responsibility as an integrated product team or technical lead
Basic understanding of RF electronics
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
RF and mixed signal product design, fabrication, and integration experience including, but not limited to, products in high reliability military applications
This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $217,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
