Job SummaryManages the technical and administrative functions of the assigned EVS function.

Responsibilities:
Implements short and long term goals consistent with those of EVS and clinical units.Manages quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the assigned areas.Interprets and ensures compliance with all appropriate codes and standards. Provides direct supervision of assigned EVS team members.Ensures that all members have a performance management program.Ensures that policies and procedures are consistently applied throughout the program.Performs regular evaluation and mentoring of all team members.Assists with the development and implementation of programs for the professional growth of members in areas of responsibility, both technical and behavioral.Participates in the development of environmental services operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility.Increases efficiency and effectiveness of environmental services activities with a goal of decreasing expenses.Other duties as assigned.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.Certifications:
None required.Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Work Experience:
Demonstrated hospitality or housekeeping management track record consisting of at least five years of experience at a supervisor level.Physical Requirements:
Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
