Position Summary:
The Environmental Services Manager will provide leadership, direction and management oversight for continuous improvement of the standard EVS operating model within the facility.
Creates a highly equipped and engaged Environmental Services Team using evidence-based techniques, process and mission metrics (KPIs) to ensure we provide a clean safe environment as we help save lives. Provides staff leadership, making sound business decisions in support of the hospital’s mission and vision. Demonstrates leadership in providing an optimal environment for patient care, safety, service, and value. Manages the day to day operations of the department; ensures a clean safe environment and aesthetics to patients, family, visitors, physicians, nurses and staff as we help save lives.Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years in Environmental Services
1 year of Supervisory level experience managing and scheduling staff
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Required Licensure and Certifications:
None
Preferred Licensure and Certifications:
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:
Proficient in MS Office Suite and EVS software systems (preferred)
Ability to clearly and effectively articulate and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Exhibits excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a work environment that promotes positive energy, creativity, and teamwork among colleagues across all functional areas
Proficient in OSHA, TJC, DOT, CDC Policy and Standard Work development/implementation (preferred)
