Qualified accountant with at least 8 years well rounded accounting and finance experience gained from a multinational environment including experience at managerial level;
Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred;
Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills with a wide range of people, nationalities, at different level of the organization;
Exposure to a wide range of financial and business functions including tax, internal controls and compliance, human resources is a definite advantage
With knowledge in Oracle Financial Modules and Good in MS office applications including Outlook, Word & Excel, proficiency in Power BI and data visualization tools
Fluent English and Chinese language skills
Perform review of the financial records to ensure accurate books & records are being maintained in accordance with Hong Kong Accounting standards and can comply Howmet’s FMHB. Work with the team for smooth month end closing, prepare and review of monthly reconciliations on a timely basis.
Oversee daily accounting operations, review and keep track of expenditure for Howmet HK and Howmet Singapore office, checked for any unexpected increase in expenditure or any strange items in the GASE reports.
Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets, financial forecasts, monthly business review package and analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare monthly forecast, work with the team members to achieve the yearly KPIs (Key Performance Index).
Fulfill statutory reporting requirements, including:
on-time submission of Country-by-Country reporting to Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department.
interacts with external auditors & tax representative to complete the statutory audit and profits tax return submission for Howmet HK and Howmet Singapore office.
liaise with Company Secretary to complete tasks like AGM, change of directors etc.
Perform annual review on Finance policies & procedures, analyze and improve the daily workflows if required. Collaborate with the team members to complete the requirements under Audit Board (internal audit tool) in accordance with global compliance calendar.
HR duties:
Oversee payroll, hiring, benefits, and recruiting, employee on-board and termination.
Ensure proper employee records are being maintained.
Perform annual review for the employee handbook.
Oversee the HR procedures to ensure adequate SOD for payroll and salary administration.
Annual review for insurance plans including employee medical insurance, employee life insurance, office insurance, property all risk and business interruption insurance to ensure there is adequate coverage for Hong Kong’s operation.
