We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

The Manager of Fleet Asset Trading will support the Asset Trading team in developing and driving long term strategies for United’s airframe, engines, and component sales. The role will support sales through the internal coordination of asset transfer from United to 3rd parties, help facilitate asset records required for sales, and ensure the enforcement of contracted terms across direct to market sales, exchanges, and consignments.

The Manager will also support the Asset Trading team for fleet, engine, and component strategy questions. Leads and supports aircraft, engine, and component contract negotiations.

The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively across the company to execute on plans that address the scale and asset volume of United Airlines.

The Manager will support the team with the following responsibilities and will be accountable for the following:

Aide in the execution of the marketing plan for all assets identified as surplus to United’s operational needsFocus of the development of a direct to market part sales programImprove the value of all assets through third party sales, asset exchanges, and consignmentsWork with Aircraft Records team to assemble and generate records required to complete transactionsSupport negotiations and the execution of all required transaction documentationSupport asset valuations and appraisals used on all proposed transactions (asset sales, purchases, used asset inductions) across all asset types (engines, airframes, & surplus parts)Partner with key internal collaborators to effectively complete transactionsFacilitate opportunities to complete component repairs to improve the value of asset salesImplement the process flow of returned parts to the operation to ensure continued useEstablish and maintain relationships with lessors, MROs, brokers, and appraisers, throughout the industry, to support the responsibilities required of the roleComplete site audits to ensure consignment contract compliance and efficiency
