THE OPPORTUNITY
The Manager, Floor Planning role is responsible for leading the Floor Planning team that partners with the Planogram, Category Management and additional teams to oversee the development of category merchandising strategies through cross-functional collaboration that drives productivity and sales. This team manages system based floorplan changes & management, as well as space optimization reporting, balancing multiple project timelines, and upholding Advance Auto Parts merchandising guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned:
Leads team responsible for providing merchandising analysis that support the development of detailed category plans & strategies for upcoming category space changes and company initiatives.Develop & drive macro space optimization across multiple merchandising teams, using analytical tools to shape strategic directionParticipates in the development and documentation of best-in-class visual merchandising guidelines and strategies.Determine & monitor item eligibility & store support metrics, highlighting areas of risk with solution optionsProactively and effectively seeks input and feedback from cross functional partners to resolve issues and improve program delivery to storesParticipate in cross-functional meetings with Merchandising and Inventory partners to identify and resolve challenges within front room businesses; determine strategy to drive sales and planogram executionAccountable for the creation and timely delivery of merchandising plans to support company initiatives and deliver a documented strategyOversee conception and maintenance of merchandising floorplans that match the Advance Auto Parts merchandising guidelines and fit into the construction outlay.Seen as subject matter expert in the delivery of space productivity analysis in support of the merchandising strategyHighly proficient in category planning software, processes and reportingQUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Interior Design or related field; and7-9 years related experience in visual merchandising, merchandising analytics and/or retail store planningOr, equivalent combination of experience and/or educationSupervisory Responsibilities
This position will directly supervise up to 4-5 Visual Space Planners and Merchandising Specialists.#LI-AC1
