JR55609 Manager - GDSS Electrical

As a Package Engineering Manager, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team in the design, operations and execution of new packages across several products in Micron.

This role will focus on hiring diverse teams, guiding career growth; establishing and tracking goals for highly ambiguous programs; managing priorities and resources across a portfolio of short- mid- and long-term projects. We want people who work well in teams, can brainstorm big ideas, work in new technology areas, able to drive a challenging concept into a prototype and then into a consumer product.

Responsibilities:

Drive daily operations:

Manage a team of Electrical, Mechanical and Computer System Engineers responsible for consumer electronics package development from pre-prototype to production.Manage Critical ASIC and Package Design Programs across challenging Timelines.Drive processes and policies to drive consistency and standardization across all package design functions.Identify key roles required for team success and recruit top engineering talent.Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching and mentoring.Create career development plans, manage performance, create performance reviews.Manage a wide variety of stakeholders while leading process definition for your team.Perform architecture and electrical design reviews to ensure hardware and package quality.Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines in a team environment.Effectively influence leaders and key partners to gain alignment.Champion a data driven culture, operational excellence, and establishing processes and operational metrics and KPI’s.Work with cross-functional engineering managers and architects on hardware and software integration.Travel requirements: 10%.

Deliver Strategic Solutions:

Implement and oversee key metrics to ensure deliverables are achieved and have desired impact.Manage conflict and build effective relationships & sustain effective communication with partners.Promote collaboration, provide project sponsorship, and guide deliverable execution.Lead and develop executive-ready presentations, team highlights/low-light summaries, objective summaries, and all-team communications.Coach, develop and mentor current & future Micron leaders.

Minimum Qualification:

MS, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Systems EngineeringKnowledge in Consumer Electronics with experience shipping multiple consumer products.10+ years of direct experience in either electrical design or computer systemsDemonstrated cross-functional experience, with experience working with Product Design engineers, ASIC architecture, and other hardware/software functions.

Preferred Qualification

Experience with Package design tools from Cadence or Mentor4+ years’ experience with SI/PI for mobile and consumer packages
