Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager General Manufacturing 3 to lead our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Operations organization. This position will be located in Iuka, MS.
Position Summary / Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for operations execution in the Iuka, MS building 1016. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the manufacturing organization for a program(s). The candidate will be measured on both financial and non-financial indicators directly related to safety, quality, on-time delivery, employee engagement, and cost profitability. The Candidate’s other primary roles include both creation of strategic vision (long-term) and tactical management (short-term) for the assigned programs within Iuka.
Overall responsibility for execution of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Employee, and Cost objectives, along with Employee Engagement for a large organizational unit with-in the FCC siteStrong focus on safe work environment, Zero Defects, and continuous improvement activitiesOptimizes product flow, production rates, and product mix to meet customer demands, improve inventory turns and drive month over month cost improvementResponsible for proactive resource management to mitigate production schedule risksSupport a work environment characterized by employee involvement and participative management to encourage the highest level of employee commitment and cooperationManage site staffing levels to support customer requirements while maintaining efficient operationsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience; Associate’s degree and 9 years of experience; or High School Diploma and 11 years of experience3 years of leadership in a role with direct reportsAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security ClearanceAbility to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP)Experience managing multiple programsExperience in labor and capacity forecastingProven experience with mid to high-rate production programsStrong working knowledge of composites manufacturing processes to include experience manufacturing composite structuresDemonstrated consistent use of the following competencies: Business acumen, composure, delegating, interpersonal savvy, planning, time management, timely decision making, presentation skillsDemonstrated commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environmentUnderstanding and use of root cause analysisDemonstrated success in maximizing resources and throughputDemonstrated ability to remove waste from production processPreferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $114,900.00 - $172,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
