We are seeking a strategic Global Benefits & Recruitment Marketing Communications Manager with a strong background in writing, graphic design and brand marketing to join our award-winning communications team. This team is responsible for: developing compelling communications campaigns that engage and motivate colleagues to be and deliver their best; driving awareness and usage of American Express’ broad range of colleague benefits, programs, and initiatives globally (70k colleagues); and promoting and protecting the brand externally via proactive PR and social media strategies. This role will specifically oversee colleague benefits communications relating to physical, financial and mental health, as well as recruitment marketing, playing a pivotal role in strengthening our position as a top company to work for. **Our ideal candidate** + Communications triple-threat with expertise in writing, graphic design and brand strategy + Agile leader with demonstrated ability to oversee and manage multiple projects with various stakeholders simultaneously, deliver under tight deadlines, and pivot in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly + Team player that thrives on collaborating with a cross-functional team + Motivated self-starter that can influence key stakeholders and has confidence to challenge the status-quo + Lifestyle/culture connoisseur who is passionate about social media, generational trends and brand identities + Strategic thinker who can zoom in on a challenge while simultaneously maintaining perspective on the big picture/goals + Creative and impactful writer with the ability to craft a story/narrative/campaign with little direction **How will you make an impact in this role?** + Create innovative branded communications campaigns that promote best-in-class colleague health and well-being benefits globally, as well as recruitment marketing initiatives across multiple channels—from initial strategy to execution (including writing, design and editing for digital signage, emails, intranet, social media, videos, toolkits, etc.) + Act as a go-to communications and brand expert with deep understanding of the Amex brand identity and voice (ie: develop/update brand assets, review global internal and external communications to manage risks as needed) + Simultaneously manage key stakeholders and multiple projects with competing timelines + Lead end-to-end process for colleague emails, including drafting content, designing Outlook templates, managing key stakeholder reviews, and distribution) Create and manage a social media content calendar for an always-on approach that promotes American Express as a great place to work. + Build large-scale colleague events from ideation to execution (ie: event planning, key messaging/strategy, timeline management, script writing, promotions, social media recaps) + Build and manage web pages within our company intranet **Minimum Qualifications** + 5 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or brand management + Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) + Expertise in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) + Excellent attention to detail with outstanding organizational and project management skills + Excellent written and verbal communications skills (editing, brand voice, brand identity) + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously + Ability to lead, influence and manage multiple stakeholders + Experience with data-driven decision-making and using analytics to inform strategies **Preferred Qualifications** + Expertise in graphic design with ability to create and edit videos, GIFs, kinetic text, modern marketing campaigns and cutting-edge presentations within the framework of established brand guidelines + Experience working in highly matrixed global organizations + Background in communications for well-known brand – communications or agency experience + Experience writing and designing for social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) + Knowledge and experience with video production (concepts, storyboarding, editing) + Experience planning events (strategy, messaging, keynote talking points, promotions) **Qualifications** Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
