*SUMMARY:*
The Manager of the Global Health Program and Global Health Academy will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management and coordination of both programs, ensuring effective execution of global health initiatives. This role involves managing international partnerships and program logistics, coordinating educational exchanges, and supporting the development and implementation of global health curricula.
This position will support and expand global health education and foster sustainable healthcare partnerships worldwide through the initiatives of the Global Health Program and Global Health Academy. Position reports to the Executive Director in Global Health
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* *Internal operations management with Nuvance Health internal departments and offices:*
*
* Develops and implements strategies to streamline internal operations, optimize resource allocation, and enhance efficiency in communications with all Nuvance Health departments.
* Oversees day-to-day operations and administrative functions working with other internal Nuvance Health departments.
* *Strategic planning and implementation:*
*
* Collaborates with Global Health Executive Director and Director of Operations for Global Health to develop and execute strategic plans, initiatives, and objectives aligned with the organization's mission and vision.
* Manages the development of annual operating plans, goals, and performance targets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource availability.
* Monitors and evaluates the implementation of strategic initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending corrective actions as needed.
* *Finances and accountability in global health:*
*
* Collaborates with Global Health Executive Director on the development, implementation, and monitoring of the global health�s annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource availability.
* Provides strategic guidance and recommendations to the Global Health Executive Director on financial matters, including resource allocation, cost-saving initiatives, and revenue generation strategies. Conduct monthly financial reviews to identify trends and variances.
* *Stakeholder engagement and communication:*
*
* Develops and maintains effective communication channels, mechanisms, and platforms to ensure transparency and engagement with collaborating Nuvance Health Departments.
* Represents the Global Health Leadership (as needed) in meetings, conferences, and other forums, fostering positive relationships and promoting the mission and values of the Global Health Program and Global Health Academy.
* * **Management of domestic (local) global health events:*
*
* Plans, coordinates, and oversees the organization and execution of domestic global health events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and faculty/guest visits.
* Coordinates logistics, venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, and participant registration to ensure seamless event execution.
* Liaises with speakers, presenters, and vendors to facilitate their participation and support their logistical needs during the event.
* Monitors event budgets, expenses, and revenue streams, ensuring financial sustainability and adherence to established financial guidelines.
* *Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values. *
* *Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance. *
* *Performs other duties as required.*
*REQUIREMENTS*
*Education:*
* Bachelor's degree (required) in public health, global health, healthcare administration, finance, international relations, or a related field.
* Master's degree (preferred, but not required) in public health, global health, business administration, or related discipline.
*Experience:*
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in management, preferably in global health, public health, finance, healthcare education, or a related field.
* Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, including collaborations with academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and international partners.
* Demonstrated experience in financial management, budget development, fundraising.
*Skills:*
* Strong project management skills, including planning, organization, and execution of complex initiatives.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including international partners, faculty, students, and donors.
* Proficiency in managing cross-cultural and interdisciplinary collaborations.
* Analytical skills for evaluating program outcomes, generating reports, and making data-driven decisions.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and online communication platforms.
* Knowledge of global health challenges, principles, and ethical considerations.
*Additional Requirements:*
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes to low-resource settings.
* Cultural competence and sensitivity to work with diverse populations.
* Familiarity with healthcare systems, education models, and global health equity frameworks is a plus.
